“Life’s Too Short”: A celebrity-studded faux reality series from Ricky Gervais (10:30 p.m. Feb. 19 on HBO). NBC also has an Amanda Peet sitcom in the bullpen called “Bent,” about a career woman who hires a womanizing contractor, co-starring David Walton.
